The making of kitchen cabinetry: we salvaged and r The making of kitchen cabinetry: we salvaged and remilled the old pine window jambs as the sides of the cabinet doors, put a panel inside and painted them Avon Green - @shenandoahpaint helped us match the original green on the window trim. Jacob & Dorcas Lincoln didn’t have a kitchen in this house, but we think this fits their style!

Maple countertops are finished from the tree we cu Maple countertops are finished from the tree we cut down in the front yard! Thanks to @willowrunlmbr for sawing and joining the boards. The beaded boards under the counters are repurposed from a board wall in the rear addition of the house, and the green color was matched by @shenandoahpaint to an original green we found in the house.

We finally have the repaired exterior door on the We finally have the repaired exterior door on the back room with the cooking hearth. This is an 18th century door with the hinges from a company in England, that we think was repurposed from an earlier building.

Repainting one of our favorite doors in the Lincol Repainting one of our favorite doors in the Lincoln Homestead - a beautiful paneled 18th century door that somehow made its way in the 1840s addition. Special thanks to Lee Bixler for his skills to repair it and prepare the wood for repainting.
